Veritas Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Art & Design Technology Teacher to join a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative educator who can inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering both artistic expression and practical design skills.
The successful candidate will be committed to delivering engaging lessons, encouraging innovation, and helping students develop confidence in their creative abilities.
The Role
As an Art & DT Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver high-quality Art and Design Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages creativity, experimentation, and achievement.
Assess, monitor, and support student progress in line with school policies.
Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
Contribute to departmental enrichment activities, exhibitions, and creative projects.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and student success.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Art and/or Design Technology within a UK secondary school setting.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for creative education.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
The ability to motivate, challenge,



and inspire students of all abilities.
