About the Role
As a
Health, Safety, Environment and Training Coordinator
, you will work closely with site leadership teams to support the effective implementation of Barminco's HSE management systems and foster a strong safety culture throughout our operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting site leadership teams in the implementation and continuous improvement of Barminco's safety management systems
Driving company-wide initiatives that enhance health, safety, environmental, and training performance
Promoting a proactive safety culture and operational excellence across all levels of the workforce




Providing expert guidance and mentoring on HSE management systems
Coaching and developing leaders in critical risk management processes
Engaging with clients regarding WHS activities and monitoring site safety performance indicators
Preparing and distributing weekly and monthly HSE reports, presentations, and safety communications
Leading incident investigations and overseeing corrective actions and hazard reporting processes
Coordinating rehabilitation and return-to-work programs, including liaison with health professionals and injured workers
Identifying opportunities to improve safety, environmental, quality, and training systems and processes
Conducting and coordinating site-based drug and alcohol testing, fitness assessments, and hydration monitoring
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or higher qualification)
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Health and Safety role
Robust knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and incident investigation processes
Exceptional communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to influence positive safety behaviours across all levels of an organisation
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Highly Desirable:
Underground operational knowledge
Experience working within the mining or heavy industrial sectors
Return-to-work and injury management experience
