The key duties of the position include:
The Role
You will help deliver Air Mobility Group's (AMG) cyber security requirements by supporting governance, risk and compliance activities. In this role, you will contribute to assurance and cyber resilience across the AMG ICT environment. You will work as part of a supportive team and receive guidance, mentoring, and access to training to help build your technical knowledge and understanding of Defence cyber governance processes.
As an ICT Security Specialist, you will support the delivery of information security activities and gradually take on more responsibility as your skills develop.
You will:
Help track cyber risks and issues, maintain registers, and follow up actions with stakeholders.
Support internal assessments and audit preparation activities (e.g. evidence collection, scheduling, minutes).
Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting ways to streamline templates, checklists, or workflows.
Have the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
Be outcomes focused while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Explore innovative methods to enhance business processes.
Work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Demonstrate a proactive, self-motivated attitude.

This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium,
in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. For further information, please contact the contact officer.
About our Team
Air Mobility Group (AMG) operate six aircraft types in a range of roles covering air logistics support, airborne operations, and air-to-air refuelling. We also support a range of tasks including aero-medical evacuation missions, along with search and rescue.
Flying squadrons within AMG are located at RAAF Bases Richmond, Amberley and Defence Establishment Fairbairn. Headquarters Air Mobility Group at RAAF Base Richmond administers No. 84 Wing and No. 86 Wing, along with the Air Mobility Control Centre and Air Mobility Training and Development Unit.
The AMG A6 team is a small section comprised of military and civilian personnel located Richmond NSW and Amberley QLD. The team is additionally supported by a contracted staff footprint at other major AMG unit locations in QLD and ACT.
You will be a part of a team that supports this enterprise by providing timely, accurate information and operational technology security governance and advice.

Eligibility
Security Clearance:
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at "Negative Vetting Level 1".
