Wulguru Technical Services are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Spatial Analyst/ GIS Administrator. Based in our Townsville office this position will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining enterprise GIS solutions to support critical business functions. The role leads data governance, system administration, and geospatial workflows across ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and QGIS environments, ensuring high availability, security, and scalable performance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data submission to state government and will be adept at translating policy requirements into reliable GIS processes. A 25kg RePL with experience in the capture and processing of UAV based Lidar and Imagery is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, deployment, and administration of Esri ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and QGIS platforms, ensuring integrated, accessible, and secure geospatial services and products including end to end data workflows including field data collection through to reporting.
Manage enterprise GIS data lifecycle, including ingestion, metadata, quality control, versioning, backups, and archival strategies.
Architect and implement GIS workflows for data capture, processing, analysis, visualization, and distribution across web maps, apps, and services.
Develop and maintain geoprocessing tools and automation routines to streamline repetitive tasks and ensure reproducibility.
Provide advanced troubleshooting,



performance tuning, and incident response for GIS infrastructure and services.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data, services and products meet reporting requirements, timelines, and audit requirements.
Collaborate with project teams to translate business needs into GIS solutions, deliver training, and provide mentorship to junior staff.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field; or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of hands-on GIS administration experience in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and QGIS in an enterprise workplace.

Skills and Competencies
Demonstrated experience submitting mine approvals data or similar regulatory datasets to state government portals or agencies.
Thorough understanding of geospatial data standards, metadata practices, coordinate systems, and data quality control.
Experience with the management of spatial data and services via ArcGIS Online including the implementation of field data capture and reporting workflows.
Experience in administration of complex ArcGIS Online environments and workflows and access requirements
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities.
Ability to lead projects, manage competing priorities, and mentor team members.
