About The Health Centre's
Located on Robertson Barracks in Holtze, 15km East of Darwin. It is home to the 1st Brigade & 1st Aviation Regiment. The facility has a routine dependency of approximately **** members, with a large reserve component. The Barracks also accommodates an additional **** US marines every 6 months from May to September. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, pharmaceutical, dental, physiotherapy and mental health services. It also operates a 22-bed low dependency ward 24/7. Standard operating hours are generally 07:*******:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requiremnents and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts). Larrakeyah Health Centre is located at the Larrakeyah Barracks in Darwin City.



Larrakeyah Defence Precinct is a unique tri-service Defence base directly supporting ADF operations & training. It is the home port of HMAS Coonawarra for Navy Patrol Boats and two Army Landing Craft. The facility has a routine dependency of **** personnel which surges every 3 months to conduct pre and post deployment medicals. The health centre provides primary medical, nursing, mental health, dental, physiotherapy and pharmaceutical services. Standard operating hours are generally 07:*******:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements).
What You'll Do
Keep the clinic running smoothly by providing fast, accurate, and professional clerical and administrative support to health staff and patients.
Manage electronic and hard copy health records and data in accordance with Defence policies, privacy requirements, and compliance standards.
Coordinate appointments and liaise effectively with internal and external health service providers to support continuity of care and timely access to patient information.
Prepare reports, update health and personnel management systems, and assist with auditing activities to support operational and compliance requirements.
Support day-to-day clinic operations through filing, mail distribution, photocopying, ordering stationery and stores, and processing supply requests.
What You Bring
Minimum of 1 year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience in an administrative role. (Medical setting highly desirable)
Completion of a medical terminology course from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), or willingness to complete
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Sound computer literacy and experience with electronic health record systems highly regarded.
