Site Engineer

As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising a range of civil construction projects. Working closely with management, supervisors, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, you will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Management Team the Site Engineer will oversee all aspects of project delivery, including project planning, resource allocation, quality assurance, compliance, stakeholder engagement, and financial performance.
You will be the driving force behind project success, ensuring all engineering, design, regulatory, and client requirements are met while maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities - Project Planning and Delivery
Coordinate and manage civil construction projects in accordance with established timelines, budgets, and legislative requirements.
Develop and maintain effective work programs and project schedules.
Monitor productivity, quality, and project performance.
Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Review project documentation for accuracy, compliance and completion.
Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when required.
Prepare Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and coordinate approvals with relevant stakeholders.
Civil Works Management




Liaise with management regarding project performance and delivery.
Plan and allocate staff, plant, materials, and subcontractors resources.
Implement forward-planning strategies to optimise productivity and resource utilisation.
Work collaboratively with site supervisors and project teams to achieve project goals.
Stakeholder & Client Relations
Act as a key representative and professional ambassador for Haber Excavations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, engineers, surveyors and council representatives.
Ensure exceptional customer service and stakeholder communication.
Respond promptly and professionally to project enquiries and requests for advice.
Essential Skills and Experience
Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience in civil construction project delivery and site engineering.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and quality management systems.
Knowledge of relevant Australian standards, legislation, and council requirements.
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
Strong project planning and organisational skills.
Proficiency in project reporting, documentation, and contract administration.
