WideSky is an experienced provider of EMS and Utility Invoice Data management software, offering innovative solutions that help our clients manage costs and reduce emissions across their portfolios. As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a talented Product Data Manager to join our team and support our clients' onboarding process.
About The Role
Reporting into the Head of Product, you will play a crucial role in the successful implementation of our product for new clients as well as development of future products. You will be responsible for setting up and configuring data associated with clients' sites and accounts, ensuring accurate and timely processing of data, and providing support to clients during the onboarding process.
WideSky is in a period of rapid development and growth, so you will need to have the ability to manage and adapt to change, and work with and contribute to a company in the development phase to continuously streamline the delivery process.
Some of your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Working closely with stakeholders (analysts, engineers, business teams) to understand their data requirements and ensure that the software is configured to meet their needs and why.
Writing user stories and specs for data pipelines, internal dashboards, or data-powered features.
Management of offshore team and supporting in the onboarding process for new clients, including data migration and testing.
Prioritising the backlog to help decide what gets built next.
Coordinating delivery and working with engineering and analytics teams through the build cycle.
Collaborating with the Product and Software Development teams to identify opportunities for improving the onboarding process and enhancing the software's functionality.
Identifying and implementing efficiency improvements in the onboarding process over time
Data quality and governance, helping to ensure data is accurate, well-documented, discoverable, and compliant.
Basic analysis, running queries (often SQL), interpreting metrics, and translating findings for non-technical stakeholders.
About You
This is a junior to mid-level position and in order to be successful, you will need to meet the following:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Prior experience in product management and data analysis or similar.
Data literacy is essential - good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets.
Comfortable with SQL and data tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams, bridging technical and business people, and have good product fundamentals like prioritisation and stakeholder management.
Understanding of data pipelines and warehousing concepts.
Knowledge of EMS and utility management concepts is not essential but highly regarded.
