About Smiles Circular Quay is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our cosmetic-focused practice on a part-time basis, working 5 days per fortnight with our Oral Health Therapist. The roster will include Wednesdays and Fridays in week one, and Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in week two.
About Smiles Circular Quay is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our cosmetic-focused practice on a part-time basis, working 5 days per fortnight with our Oral Health Therapist. The roster will include Wednesdays and Fridays in week one, and Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in week two. You'll be supporting a skilled team of clinicians in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring every treatment is delivered to the highest standard. Our practice is modern, welcoming, and fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology, offering a wide range of treatments from general to cosmetic dentistry. We're looking for someone who is professional, reliable, and passionate about dentistry, with strong skills in chair-side assistance, patient care, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities
Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.
Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures,



and maintain a clean and organised treatment area.
Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised.
Patient Education: Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.
Compliance: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.

What Do You Need To Succeed
Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is essential
A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a quick-paced environment
Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
Attention to detail
