After several years of uninterrupted growth, we need to grow our team in Sydney with an experienced, cross-disciplined technical consultant. This role will work on exciting projects designing, building, and supporting complex network infrastructure for customers and internally.

You are a Level 2 engineer with 3-5+ years' experience (including in MSPs) who can support and improve core infrastructure across compute, storage, and identity, with a specialty in Modern Management across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This is a role for someone who has worked across many SMB businesses and wants to expand their horizon to the mid-market and the technologies used there.
You must own your own car, hold a valid driver's license, and be able to commute to our office in Rhodes, NSW, as well as travel to client sites when required.
What the role looks like (projects vs support)
This role is approximately 60% project work / 40% support.
Projects (60%): Deliver infrastructure modernisation initiatives, design and implement new standards, and uplift manageability through Intune/M365 and automation.
Support (40%): Provide L2 escalation for moderate issues, run root cause analysis, provide training and knowledge transfer, and implement permanent fixes.
Modern Management is the key requirement
You should be comfortable with:
Configuring and maintaining Intune (device configuration, compliance, security baselines, update rings, app deployment,



endpoint hardening).
Building policies with a focus on outcomes: security, user experience, stability, and supportability.
Working across the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem (identity, devices, security, endpoint management) to support consistent management standards.
What you'll do
Deliver Contemporary Management project work across Intune and M365 (policy, standards, rollout, uplift).
Handle L2 escalation and troubleshooting across modern‐managed endpoints and underlying infrastructure.
Assist with planning and implementing infrastructure changes and upgrades, with clear documentation.
Support VMware and/or Hyper‐V platforms.
Assist with SAN environment health, performance, and troubleshooting.
Support core Active Directory services (as required for integrated/hybrid environments).
What we're looking for (must‐have)
Experience : 3-5 years in infrastructure/systems engineering roles.
Modern Management depth : Moderate, hands‐on expertise in Intune and the wider Microsoft 365 ecosystem; comfortable operating at policy level with support from senior team members as needed.
PowerShell : Basic to moderate PowerShell skills (troubleshooting, simple automation).
Infrastructure : Working exposure to SANs, VMware/Hyper‐V, and Active Directory.
Networking : Working knowledge and troubleshooting capability (switching/routing/firewall concepts) within traditional network stacks.
Initiative and problem‐solving: Comfortable taking initiative on project tasks and support tickets, with solid Root Cause Analysis skills.
Linux infrastructure services and platforms, including HAProxy, FreeRADIUS, OpenLDAP, and Docker.
VoIP knowledge and troubleshooting capability, especially with 3CX and Teams.
Experience leading a project from start to finish.
