Heidelberg Materials Australia is a leading supplier of construction materials, recognized for our commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Supply Chain Operations Manager to join our Eastern Region Metro Aggregate division in Sydney.
About The Role
As the Operations Manager – Aggregates Supply Chain, you will partner closely with the Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimise quarry and logistics operations across the business. You'll oversee fleet performance, supply chain efficiency, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring our products are delivered safely, reliably, and cost effectively to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Leading aggregates logistics operations, fleet strategy, asset performance, and transport compliance.
Driving safe, reliable, and cost-effective quarry and logistics operations.
Partnering with quarry, sales, technical, customer service, and transport teams to optimise end-to-end supply chain performance.
Managing operational budgets, identifying efficiency opportunities, and delivering continuous improvement projects.
Supporting material planning strategies that balance quarry output with customer and business demand.
Championing our Zero Harm culture and ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Developing and coaching high-performing teams while building capability across the business.
About You




You are an experienced operations professional with strong leadership skills and a practical understanding of quarry or construction materials operations.
You Will Ideally Have
Leadership experience in logistics, quarry operations, construction materials, or a related heavy industry.
Demonstrated experience leading operational teams in a production environment.
Strong experience managing operational performance, budgets, assets, and people.
A proven commitment to workplace health, safety, environmental compliance & continuous improvement outcomes.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Solid communication and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline, with postgraduate qualifications viewed favourably.
