Join an established South Australian manufacturer
Intercast & Forge is Australia's largest independent iron foundry, supplying high-quality castings to the Australian and international rail, automotive and general engineering industries from our Wingfield facility.
We are seeking an experienced Logistics & Dispatch Team Member to join our small logistics team. This is a hands-on role that combines forklift operation, freight preparation, dispatch duties and regular manual handling in a heavy industrial environment.
Work hours Monday-Thursday, 6am-4pm. Some Friday overtime may be required.
About the role
This is not a desk-based logistics position. You will be actively involved in preparing, packaging, moving and loading heavy cast products for dispatch. The role requires a practical approach, physical capability and a willingness to work on the floor as part of the team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Safely loading export containers and domestic freight using a forklift
Manually handling, sorting, securing and packaging finished castings
Preparing pallets, crates and other freight for safe transport
Inspecting export containers and checking loads against manifests
Preparing customer orders using Intercast's logistics software
Booking freight through online and manual systems
Liaising with Production to ensure orders meet transport cut-off times
Checking quantities, quality requirements and dispatch documentation
Assisting with monthly stocktakes and inventory checks
Maintaining compliance with Chain of Responsibility requirements




Following all company safety procedures and WHS requirements. Inluding drug and alcohol testing.
Supporting the team to achieve DIFOT (Delivery In Full On Time) targets
About you
To succeed in this role, you will have:
A current forklift licence with demonstrated experience
Experience loading trucks, export containers and bulky or heavy freight
Previous experience in logistics, dispatch, warehousing or manufacturing
The physical capacity and willingness to undertake regular manual handling
A practical understanding of Chain of Responsibility requirements
Experience booking freight and completing dispatch documentation
Basic computer skills and confidence using logistics or inventory systems
Strong attention to detail and a safety-focused approach
The ability to work collaboratively in a small, hands-on team
Reliability and a willingness to assist wherever required
Willingness to assist on the production line if required
Own transport required
Experience in manufacturing, heavy industry or handling bulky industrial products will be highly regarded.
