The Role
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused
Retail Assistant
to join our retail team in
Kununurra
.
This full-time position is responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting with the day-to-day operation of the store, including merchandising, stock replenishment, cash handling and maintaining a safe and well-presented retail environment.

Key Responsibilities
Provide friendly and professional customer service.
Process customer sales using POS and EFTPOS systems.
Assist customers with product enquiries and purchases.
Receive, unpack and replenish stock.
Maintain shelves, displays and promotional merchandise.
Monitor stock levels and report inventory shortages.
Assist with stocktakes and inventory control activities.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe retail setting.
Process customer exchanges and refunds in accordance with company procedures.
Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and balancing tills.
Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to achieve store objectives.
Perform general retail duties as required.
Skills and Experience
Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to operate POS and EFTPOS systems or willingness to learn.
Basic computer literacy.
Solid organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to undertake manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving stock.
Willingness to work a rotating roster, including weekends where required.
Commitment to working respectfully with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Willingness to live and work in
Kununurra
, a regional location in the East Kimberley.
Desirable
Experience working in regional or remote retail environments.
Experience with stock control or inventory management systems.
Current First Aid Certificate (desirable but not essential).
Pre-Employment Requirements
