About the Role
As a Children's Resource Coordinator at Junction Support Services, you will play a key role in strengthening the capacity of the Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) and Family Violence practitioners across the Goulburn and Ovens Murray regions.
Working collaboratively with sector partners, you will provide secondary consultation, facilitate learning and development opportunities, and promote evidence based approaches that strengthen child-centred, flexible and responsive practice for families experiencing homelessness and family violence.
Your expertise will help build practitioner confidence, improve early intervention responses, and contribute to better outcomes for infants, children, young people and their families.
This is a permanent part-time position (53.2 hours per fortnight) based at our Wodonga office.
What You Can Expect
In the role, you will:
Build the capability of Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) and Family Violence practitioners through training, coaching and secondary consultation.
Develop and deliver evidence-based resources, workshops and learning opportunities that strengthen child-centred practice.
Collaborate with community partners to improve service responses for infants, children, young people and families.
Promote best practice and support services to implement flexible, trauma-informed and responsive approaches.




Stay informed on emerging research and translate evidence into practical tools and resources for the sector.
Strengthen networks and partnerships across the Goulburn and Ovens Murray regions to improve collaboration and service integration.
Advocate for the needs of children and young people experiencing homelessness and family violence.
Participate in statewide and regional networks, projects and initiatives to influence practice and drive system improvement.
Contribute to research, reporting and continuous quality improvement to enhance service delivery.
About You
You'll bring:
A tertiary qualification such as Social Work or Community Development and relevant experience to this role.
Experience with and/or the knowledge of the needs of infants, children and young people within the homelessness and/or family violence service system.
Knowledge and ability to work from a community development framework where the child is the primary focus.
Strong research skills with the ability to critically analyse and clearly present research information.
Experience designing and delivering training sessions, workshops, or presentations is desirable.
Experience in developing the skills and knowledge of others.




Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to proficiently build working relationships network and liaise with internal and external parties, at a statewide and local level.
