The Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Advisor to join our team. Reporting to the Director, you will play a vital role in ensuring workplace health and safety (WHS) compliance across our construction sites. Your responsibility will be to promote a robust safety culture, implement/create the Company's Integrated Management System and apply risk management strategies to keep our workforce safe.
Responsibilities
As a
Safety Manager
, your responsibilities will include:
Support the implementation of Renewable Homes Pty Ltd Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Management System.
Work collaboratively with site teams and subcontractors to promote positive HSEQ outcomes and a strong safety culture.
Reviewing Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and facilitation of SWMS development workshops where necessary
Assist in monitoring compliance with relevant Workplace Health and Safety legislation, company systems and project requirements.
Support incident reporting and investigations, including gathering information, preparing reports and assisting with follow-up actions.
Provide practical HSEQ guidance and coaching to Site supervisors, Project Managers and subcontractors.
Assist in the preparation, implementation and review of project-specific management plans in line with Renewable Homes Management System.
Undertake site inspections, audits and reviews in line with project requirements and HSEQ systems.
Develop, Implement and maintain required induction and safety training for Renewable Homes Pty Ltd employees
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
2 – 3 years' experience as a safety advisor in a similar role (construction industry)
Minimum of Certificate IV – Workplace Health and Safety
Certificate in Training & Assessment
Incident investigation training (example ICAM or equivalent)
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem solving skill
Strong knowledge of construction techniques, and industry standards
Ability to work in a team environment and have initiative when working independently
Strong relationship building with all relevant stakeholders
A down to earth, fun, friendly and qualified approach to your work
High-Risk Work Licences (Forklift, Excavator, Skid Steel) Advantages
