ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an organised and motivated paralegal to join our personal injury team on a full time, permanent basis.
You will work closely with experienced personal injury lawyers and assist with the day to day progression of claims.
Your responsibilities will include:
Communicating with clients and providing regular claim updates
Preparing correspondence, claim documents and draft legal documents
Requesting and reviewing medical, employment and other evidentiary material
Preparing chronologies, document summaries and briefs to experts and counsel
Liaising with insurers, WorkCover Queensland, medical providers,



barristers and other stakeholders
Assisting with disclosure and the preparation of settlement conferences
Maintaining accurate electronic files, diaries and critical dates
Supporting lawyers with the efficient progression of matters from initial instructions through to resolution
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The successful applicant will have:
Previous experience as a paralegal, legal assistant or claims officer
Personal injury, insurance or litigation experience, although this is preferred rather than essential
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organisation and time management skills
Care and empathy when communicating with injured clients
Strong attention to detail
The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Confidence using technology and electronic file management systems
The ability to work independently while remaining part of a collaborative team
Initiative, accountability and a willingness to learn
Current law students and applicants with qualifications in legal services, law or a related field are encouraged to apply.
