As our Head of Group Compliance, reporting to the Group Deputy Chief Risk Officer, you will lead, develop and implement strategies to ensure the Group operates in accordance with all applicable laws and rules to position The Star Entertainment Group as a socially responsible corporate entity.
This is a fantastic opportunity where you will play a key role within TSEG's three lines of defence model, in which Line 2's primary role is to set the standards and expectations for compliance and regulatory matters and provide support and challenge to the Property Risk and Compliance teams.
A few of your responsibilities
Partner with the Group Deputy Chief Risk Officer to develop and implement a robust Compliance Risk Management Framework to ensure The Star's compliance risks are identified, measured, monitored and reported in accordance with the Board approved Risk Appetite.
Monitor and challenge the Enterprise and BU Risk Profiles in relation to material compliance risks.




Review the training approach and requirements in support of the business implementation of Frameworks and Policies. This includes developing content for compliance policies and the review of training materials developed by other policy owners.
Lead and manage a team of compliance professionals responsible for the review of governance documents and oversight of obligations across The Star.
Monitor and anticipate regulatory change to ensure the potential impact on The Star's obligation register is appropriately understood.
Provide reporting to the Board/ risk committees on the effectiveness and adherence to the Compliance Risk Management Framework and Policy governance.
What we are looking for
10+ years' experience in a legal or compliance role
Experience in design, implementation and management of compliance risk management processes in complex regulatory environments
Experience managing whistleblower processes
Ability to assist in the design, implementation and monitoring of compliance programs in complex regulatory environments
Ability to role model and champion the voice of risk and compliance in The Star
Ability to identify opportunities for improvements in compliance processes
Ability to lead a change management program and to challenge the status quo
