We're looking for an early-career Content Producer who's exceedingly curious, enthusiastic and ready to work hard while learning fast. This role is an opportunity to expand your skillset, explore complex ideas, and hone your craft across digital and print. Supported by some of Australia's most experienced creatives and editors, you'll be part of a tight-knit team solving real-world publishing challenges from day one.
About the role
The Content Producer supports the delivery of high-quality editorial and digital content across Mahlab's publishing clients. This
junior role
will primarily support a leading pharmacy association, one of our most engaging and diverse clients, with whom we have built a longstanding partnership. You will also work across digital and print publications in other professional domains when required.
The role is primarily a producer role but also includes program production tasks such as regular eDM builds, content uploads and social media scheduling to ensure all deliverables are published accurately and on time, balanced with regularly producing written and multimedia content for digital and/or print titles.
A day in the life could look like this:
Contribute to weekly content planning, pitching ideas and developing briefs.
Assist with sub-editing and proofreading content to maintain editorial standards and accuracy.
Craft and schedule engaging social media posts.
Build and schedule bi-weekly eDMs in MailChimp
Produce a steady number of digital content pieces per week as well as regular features for a monthly print title as required
Upload digital content to our client's nominated Content Management System (CMS)



and social channels.
Track and report on content and EDM performance.
Provide ongoing administrative support to the editor, including client reporting and ad hoc production tasks.
Build industry and subject matter knowledge and relationships with key stakeholders.
The ideal person for this role will possess:
1–2 years of experience in a communications, PR, or content-focused role (agency experience is highly regarded, but not mandatory).
Multi-disciplinary mindset: You understand how PR, content, and digital work together and are excited by the opportunity to expand your skillset across all three.
Exceptional communication: You are a gifted storyteller and sharp writer who can articulate ideas clearly and confidently.
Collaborative spirit: You thrive in team-oriented environments and share a genuine passion for working with others and achieving shared goals.
Curious and adaptable: You are naturally curious, love learning about new industries (from AI to green energy), and easily adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strategic thinker: An interest or background in strategy, public policy, or international affairs will be highly advantageous in understanding the broader context of Standards Australia's work.
