We are seeking a compassionate and skilled
Registered Psychiatric Nurse
to join our Mental Health Services team. In this role, you will provide high‐quality, recovery‐oriented mental health care within an inpatient setting, supporting consumers through assessment, treatment, care planning, and discharge. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will promote safe, person‐centred care and contribute to positive clinical outcomes for consumers and their families.

The role of the
Registered Psychiatric Nurse
is to:
Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, risk assessments, and develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans in collaboration with consumers and the multidisciplinary team.
Deliver evidence‐based mental health nursing care, including monitoring mental and physical health, medication management, and psychoeducation.
Support consumers, carers, and families through recovery‐focused care, discharge planning, and ongoing treatment reviews.
Facilitate therapeutic interventions, including group programs, daily living skills activities, and psychoeducational sessions.
Respond effectively to psychiatric and medical emergencies while ensuring adherence to relevant legislation, policies, and clinical standards.
Provide leadership and support to enrolled nurses, students, and new staff through supervision, guidance, orientation, and clinical role modelling.
About you




Ideal candidates for this role will have:
Registered Nurse (Division 1 or Division 3) with current AHPRA registration and relevant mental health qualifications and/or experience.
Demonstrated experience in mental health nursing, including assessment, care planning, risk management, and therapeutic interventions.
Strong knowledge of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act ****, National Standards for Mental Health Services, and contemporary recovery‐oriented practice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build therapeutic relationships with consumers, families, and colleagues.
Able to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic clinical environment.
Committed to delivering compassionate, person‐centred care and continuously improving clinical practice and patient outcomes.
