The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority is responsible for protecting and managing one of Australia's most iconic coastal landscapes. We care for parks, reserves and marine environments along the Great Ocean Road, including internationally recognised visitor sites. Working closely with Traditional Owners, communities and stakeholders, we protect environmental, cultural and heritage values while supporting sustainable visitation and long-term conservation.
About The Role
The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority (GORCAPA) is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Team Member to join our Twelve Apostles Visitor Precinct team.
As a Retail Team Member, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding visitor experiences at one of Australia's most iconic destinations. You will provide exceptional customer service, support retail operations, maintain high presentation standards and assist in the day-to-day running of the retail outlet.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys engaging with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in creating welcoming and memorable visitor experiences.
What you'll do
Deliver exceptional customer service to visitors from Australia and around the world.
Provide product recommendations and accurate information to support customer purchases.
Process retail transactions,



returns and exchanges using point-of-sale systems.
Promote featured products, seasonal ranges and sales opportunities.
Receive, replenish and maintain stock levels while supporting stocktakes and inventory control.
Maintain high standards of visual merchandising, cleanliness and presentation throughout the retail space.
Support visitors with diverse needs by providing inclusive and accessible customer service.
Assist in maintaining a safe workplace by following operational, safety and emergency procedures.
Respond professionally to visitor enquiries and elevate issues when required.
Contribute to a collaborative team culture focused on service excellence and continuous improvement.
What we're looking for
Experience in retail, tourism or a similar customer-facing role.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach to work.
Confidence managing competing priorities in a busy visitor-focused environment.
Solid retail presentation and visual merchandising skills.
Experience handling cash and point-of-sale transactions.
A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service every day.
An understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.




A current Australian Driver's Licence and the ability to meet pre-employment requirements, including a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
