The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team for a long-term project located at the East End site in Newcastle.
This is a full-time opportunity with an expected project duration of
***** months
, offering consistent work, a supportive team environment, and the opportunity to be part of a significant civil construction project.
The successful candidate will commence on
17 August ****
, with interviews taking place prior to commencement.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a 5.5-tonne excavator safely and efficiently.
Work alongside archaeologists during the initial stage of the project, ensuring careful excavation in accordance with project requirements.
Carry out excavation works in line with project plans and safety procedures.
Conduct daily pre-start inspections and maintain plant in good working order.




Work collaboratively with site supervisors and the project team.
Comply with all WHS requirements, company policies, and site procedures.
About You
Proven experience operating excavators in a civil construction workplace.
Strong commitment to safe work practices.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Construction White Card.
First Aid Certificate (preferred but not essential - we can arrange training for the right candidate).
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team.
What We Offer
$50–$60 per hour
