About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and capable Training & Development Coordinator to join our People & Culture team.
In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and delivery of structured training modules. You will also build comprehensive career development paths for diverse disciplines across the company, including Supervisors, Estimators, Designers, Draftspersons, and Managers.
While you will personally deliver core operational and professional development modules in person, you will also empower our senior staff and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to co-deliver specialised technical training and assessment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Developing career development plans for key roles aligned to company requirements and capability frameworks.
Conducting Training Needs Analysis (TNA) identify capability gaps and prioritise training.
Designing and building structured, multi-discipline learning programs tailored to WA residential and commercial construction workflows and NCC standards.
Facilitating engaging, live training sessions, workshops, and onboarding programs for both office and field-based teams.
Creating clear presentation frameworks and teaching guides to help internal senior managers confidently deliver technical modules.
Developing and deploying short assessment tests via email or a digital portal to verify competency and track employee skill progression.
Partnering closely with department managers and SMEs to extract proprietary knowledge and create repeatable learning programs.
Overseeing the Training Management System (TMS) to maintain training records.
Liaising with external training providers, consultants, and RTOs to source specialised courses.
Administering apprenticeship and traineeship arrangements in line with the Western Australian Apprenticeship Office, including training contract management and incentive claims.
Supporting broader People & Culture activities, including recruitment, onboarding inductions, succession planning, and wellbeing processes as required.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
A Certificate IV Training and Assessment or Diploma in Training Design and Development or equivalent current qualification, and a qualification in Human Resources, Adult Education, or Organisational Development.
Bachelor of Education (Adult / Vocational Education) will be highly regarded
Demonstrated experience in a learning and development, training coordination, or human resources role, with exposure to the construction, resources, or related heavy industry sector strongly preferred.
A demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging adult learning programs using face-to-face, on-the-job, and e-learning methods.
A sound understanding of Western Australian work health and safety legislation as it applies to construction, and the ability to align training with WHS and site-specific requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Well-developed relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
Strong organisational and project coordination skills
High-level attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and reporting
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and HR/training information systems
