We have secured a robust pipeline of works at the Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (DBCT) and are seeking an autonomous, driven Project Manager to take full ownership of these site-based civil projects from mobilisation to closeout—all while enjoying the stability of being home every night.
Founded in ****, QCCS is a premier civil and mining construction contractor celebrating over 26 years of delivering critical infrastructure across Central Queensland.
Be Home Every Night: Forget FIFO or DIDO. Deliver major industrial civil projects while staying based at home in Mackay.

Highly Competitive Package: Attractive salary package + fully maintained company vehicle + superannuation.
As Project Manager, you'll take ownership of the successful delivery of multiple civil work packages at DBCT and surrounding heavy industrial assets. You'll oversee projects from planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage project schedules, budgets, cost tracking, variations, and financial reporting from mobilization through to client handover.
Champion a zero-harm culture on site, ensuring strict compliance with QCCS and asset-specific safety, environmental, and quality management plans.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with DBCT client representatives, vendors, and key stakeholders.
Lead, mentor, and set clear expectations for site crews and supervisors while managing subcontractor engagement.
Partner with our commercial team to review scopes, assist with estimating, prepare quotes, and proactively mitigate delivery risks.
Minimum of 3 years' experience running civil infrastructure projects as a Project Manager (or a highly experienced Senior Supervisor ready to step up).
Prior experience working on major industrial, mining, ports, or resource-sector sites (such as DBCT, Hay Point, or Bowen Basin operations) will be highly regarded.
Strong capability in managing project financials, budgets, variations, and claims.
A natural ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor supervisors, and communicate effectively with corporate clients and subcontractors.
Currently residing in, or willing to permanently relocate to the Mackay region.
Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is advantageous.
If you're looking for a role where you'll be trusted to lead, supported to succeed, and offered genuine career stability, we want to hear from you.
