The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll oversee the afternoon shift, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to a high‐quality standard.
Leading and coaching Production Operators and Leading Hands
Coordinating daily production activities to meet customer demand
Monitoring safety, quality and production performance throughout the shift
Conducting daily toolbox meetings and shift handovers
Working closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality teams to minimise downtime and resolve production issues
Managing attendance, performance and employee development
Ensuring production reporting, ERP transactions and shift documentation are completed accurately
Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing floor
About You
We're looking for an experienced Production Manager or Supervisor who enjoys leading and creating and maintaining a high‐performing team.
Previous experience leading production teams within a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of WHS, quality systems and continuous improvement principles
Experience coordinating labour, equipment and production schedules
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Experience using ERP/MRP systems and production reporting
A proactive approach with strong problem‐solving and decision‐making ability
Confidence managing performance, coaching employees and driving accountability
