About the role
Canning Vale Carpet Court is seeking an experienced Store and Sales Manager to join our team in Perth, WA. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to lead our store operations and drive sales performance. As Store and Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store management, including staff supervision, sales strategy, customer service excellence, and financial performance. This is a strategic role that directly impacts the profitability and reputation of our location, making it essential to our business success.
What you'll be doing
Leading and motivating a team of sales staff to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service
Managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, and merchandising
Developing and implementing sales strategies to increase revenue and market share
Recruiting, training, coaching and supervising staff to ensure high performance and professional development
Monitoring financial performance, including sales, expenses and profit margins, and reporting to senior management
Maintaining store presentation standards and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and loyalty
Handling customer enquiries and resolving complaints professionally and promptly
Managing inventory levels and coordinating stock ordering to minimise waste and meet customer demand
Implementing visual merchandising and promotional activities to maximise sales opportunities
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Store Manager or Sales Manager in the retail sector, ideally within home furnishings, flooring or a similar consumer products environment
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff




Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build strong customer relationships
Sound understanding of retail operations, including inventory management, stock control and merchandising
Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and P&L; responsibility
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions whilst maintaining alignment with company objectives
Proficiency with retail management systems and point-of-sale technology
Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
A valid driver's licence is desirable
