About the opportunity
As a People and Culture Advisor, you'll partner with leaders and employees across Council to support recruitment, employee relations, organisational development and workforce initiatives that make a real difference.Working within a multi-functional team, you'll gain exposure to People and Culture, Work Health and Safety, Risk and Return to Work functions, providing valuable experience across a broad range of people-related disciplines.

Perfect for someone looking to establish or grow their career in People and Culture.
Structured development plan
Mentoring and coaching
Exposure to a broad range of People and Culture activities
Progression to Level 4 through demonstrated capability and achievement of milestones
A commitment to completing a Human Resource Management qualification (Certificate IV or higher) is required if not already held.
Direct Appointment (Level 4)
Already have People and Culture experience? Applicants with demonstrated People and Culture knowledge, experience and capability may be appointed directly to the Level 4 position.
About you
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive relationships and provide quality customer service.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Experience preparing skilled correspondence, reports, recommendations or other business documentation.
Demonstrated ability to research,



analyse information and apply practical solutions to workplace issues.
Confidence using technology and business systems to manage information, monitor activities and produce reports.
Sound judgement, discretion and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
A proactive approach to continuous improvement and delivering high-quality outcomes.
You will hold a current Working with Children Check and Mental Health First Aid accreditation (or obtain prior to appointment), and be willing to obtain accreditation to Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing.
For applicants seeking direct appointment at Level 4, you will also demonstrate:
Experience in a People and Culture or related role.
Knowledge of employment legislation, industrial instruments and contemporary people practices.
Experience providing advice and support to managers and employees.
Experience contributing to employee relations matters, policy development, workforce initiatives and organisational projects.
