About the role
SAPE Group is seeking a dedicated and reliable
Driver/Storeman
to join our team on a
full-time basis
at our Southport facility in QLD. This is a pivotal role that combines warehouse operations with delivery responsibilities, ensuring the seamless movement of goods and maintaining the efficiency of our distribution network. You will be responsible for both the safe storage and organisation of inventory, as well as the timely and professional delivery of products to our customers. This position is integral to our operations, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and the overall success of SAPE Group.
What you'll be doing
Operating and maintaining company vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently to customers
Loading and unloading vehicles with products whilst ensuring cargo is secured and protected
Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any maintenance issues or safety concerns
Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, including signatures, delivery times and any discrepancies
Receiving and processing incoming inventory, checking items against delivery documentation
Organising and storing stock in the warehouse using appropriate storage methods and systems
Picking and packing orders in preparation for delivery, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
Operating warehouse equipment
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Communicating with customers in a professional manner regarding delivery times and any delays
Company vehicles are Class C automatic vans
What we're looking for
Valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicles being operated, with a clean driving record
Proven experience in a driver or storeman role, ideally within a warehousing or distribution environment
Physical fitness and capability to lift, carry and move goods regularly throughout the day




Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking and delivery documentation
Knowledge of warehouse management systems and experience with inventory control is desirable
Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one is advantageous
Excellent communication and customer service skills
A commitment to health and safety practices and compliance with workplace procedures
Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced workplace
