Job Description
JIOTECH AUTO MECHANIC We are looking for an experienced Motor Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of light vehicles. The successful candidate will ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest safety and performance standards while delivering productive and high-quality mechanical services.

Task & responsibilities Inspect, maintain, and repair petrol engines and the mechanical systems of light motor vehicles, including transmissions, steering, suspension, and braking systems. Diagnose mechanical faults by carrying out detailed inspections and testing engine and vehicle components. Remove, dismantle, and examine engines, gearboxes, steering assemblies, and other mechanical parts to identify defects.
Repair or replace damaged and worn components while following manufacturer specifications and service manuals. Perform scheduled vehicle servicing, including oil and filter changes, lubrication, engine tune-ups, and preventative maintenance. Reassemble engines and mechanical components after repairs, ensuring all parts are correctly fitted and secured.
Test, calibrate,



and adjust repaired components to verify safe operation and optimal vehicle performance. Operate computerised diagnostic equipment to identify faults, analyse vehicle systems, and confirm successful repairs. Inspect vehicles to assess roadworthiness and recommend any repairs required to meet safety standards where applicable.
Maintain accurate service records and ensure all work complies with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations. Keep the workshop clean, organised, and ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition. Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding repair findings, maintenance requirements, and service recommendations.
Qualification & experience Relevant automotive qualification must be completed. 1–3 years of relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic. Solid knowledge of petrol engine systems and vehicle mechanical components.
Ability to diagnose faults using modern diagnostic equipment. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
