Established in ****, FireShield Services provides leading fire protection systems, maintenance and electrical services to businesses in Perth and greater Western Australia. We are currently seeking an experienced Fire Technician to join our Joondalup team full time. The Fire Technician is responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, servicing, and minor installation of fire protection systems and equipment to ensure compliance with Australian Standards, legislative requirements, and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, test, service, and maintain a range of fire protection systems, including fire extinguishers, hose reels, hydrants, fire detection and alarm systems, emergency lighting, and sprinkler systems (where licensed).
Identify faults, defects, and compliance issues, carrying out routine and reactive maintenance in line with Australian Standards.
Complete service reports, compliance documentation, and maintenance records accurately and on time.
Deliver skilled customer service, communicating clearly with clients and site personnel while explaining defects and recommended actions.
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment, and work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
To be successful in this role, you'll have
Previous experience servicing fire protection systems or in a related trade.
Certificate II or III in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing (or equivalent).
Sound knowledge of Australian fire protection standards, including AS ****.
A current White Card (or equivalent).
The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
Strong fault-finding skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
Good communication, organisational, and time management skills.
Electrical Disconnect/Reconnect Licence (Restricted).
Experience with fire detection and alarm systems.
Current
First Aid Certificate.
Working at Heights and Confined Space training.
The physical ability to undertake manual work, including working at heights, in confined spaces, and in both indoor and outdoor environments.
A remuneration package between $85,000 - $92,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
