About us
Perth Business Relocations provides relocation and related workplace services to businesses, government departments, universities and other organisations throughout Western Australia.
We are looking for a capable, motivated and adaptable person to join our office team as an Operations & Administration Assistant.
We place greater value on ability, attitude and potential than on years of experience. Previous experience in removals, logistics or operations is not essential, as training in our systems and processes will be provided.
What matters most to us is finding someone who learns quickly, communicates exceptionally well, has a strong work ethic and can adapt when priorities change.
This is a varied role with genuine responsibility and the opportunity to progress into project coordination, estimating, account management or sales as your knowledge and capabilities develop.
About the role
You will initially assist with a range of administration, customer service and operational support tasks, including:
Responding to and booking straightforward customer requests.
Preparing work orders, job sheets and other job documentation.
Scanning and uploading completed job paperwork into our management system.
Communicating with employees to confirm availability and job requirements.
Compiling customer photographs, furniture lists and project information into quotation templates.
Preparing and sending straightforward quotations once trained.
Maintaining records of items entering and leaving our storage facilities.
Preparing labels and instructions for stored items.
Communicating storage requirements to operational employees.
Assisting with stocktakes and storage audits.
Coordinating the sorting, storage, donation and reuse of surplus office furniture, including photographing, responding to enquiries and arranging collections.
Taking project photographs and preparing basic social media posts.
Providing general support to our operations and management team.

As your knowledge and confidence develop, you may also assist with site inspections, project coordination, more detailed quotations, customer account management and sales.
What matters most to us
Experience can be helpful, but it will not be the deciding factor.
We are primarily looking for someone with the intelligence, attitude and work ethic to learn the role and become a valuable long-term member of our team.
You will be well suited to the position if you:
Learn new information, systems and processes quickly.
Have a strong work ethic and take pride in doing things properly.
Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
Have strong spelling, grammar and attention to detail.
Are confident using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Can organise information and produce clear, professional documents and emails.
Adapt well when schedules, instructions or priorities change.
Use initiative and common sense when solving problems.
Take ownership of tasks and follow them through to completion.
Are reliable, organised and able to manage competing priorities.
Are comfortable communicating with customers, managers and operational employees.
Can work independently while knowing when to ask questions or raise an issue.
Accept feedback positively and apply what you have learned.
Are willing to assist across different areas of the business.
Want to develop your skills and take on greater responsibility over time.
Previous experience in administration, customer service, scheduling or another service-based business would be helpful, but it is not essential.
A current driver's licence is preferred,

as the position may occasionally involve attending customer sites, storage facilities, meetings, inspections or furniture collections.
Our working environment
We are an established and growing business with a practical and down-to-earth working environment.
Our structure means employees work closely with management, making it easy to communicate directly and openly, share ideas, and see the difference your work makes, without all the unnecessary layers.
At the same time, we work with many of Western Australia's largest businesses, government departments, universities and other organisations, so the role provides regular exposure to major clients, professional environments and a broad range of contacts.
We offer straightforward communication, varied work, a supportive team environment and in office parking.
Working arrangements
Being present in the office is important because the position involves regular communication with our operations team, handling job paperwork, responding to changing daily requirements and learning directly from experienced staff.
For these reasons, the position is not suitable for ongoing work-from-home or hybrid arrangements.
What we offer
Training in our systems, services and business processes.
A varied position with exposure to different areas of the business.
Direct support and training from experienced team members.
A professional, down-to-earth workplace with direct access to management.
Less bureaucracy and more opportunity to make a visible contribution.
Regular interaction with major businesses, government departments, universities and other organisations.
The opportunity to develop practical coordination, quoting and customer-management skills.
A genuine pathway into project coordination, estimating, account management or sales.
On-site parking.
Remuneration based on the successful applicant's capability and relevant experience.
