Our client is pretigeous and respected membership organisation based in Sydney and they are seeking the services of a
D365FO Business Analyst for a 6mth - 9mth contract.
Core services to members include education, training, technical support and advocacy. Employees and members work together with local and international bodies to represent the views and concerns of the profession to governments, regulators, industries, academia and the general public.
About the Role
As part of the Digital and Technology Strategy and Roadmap recommended replacing the current Finance systems. They have selected
Microsoft Dynamics 365 FinOps (D365FO)
as the preferred platform for the rollout of the ERP and finance modules.
The Business Analyst will deliver process mapping and business analysis capabilities on the project. This role will be based in the Finance stream of the project
This role will be tasked with producing and managing user stories and validating their correct interpretation and delivery. You will collaborate with a broad spectrum of business and technical stakeholders, through a variety of means including workshops, to document future state process maps; identify business impacts related to those changes; support change management; partake in creation of finance training material; and support the testing team with test script creation and execution.
The role will be critical in managing stakeholder expectations, managing risks and liaising closely and consistently with stakeholders at all levels to deliver the most optimal solution for the Finance team.
Duties in this role will include, but are not limited to:
Translate functional, business and system requirements into epics, user stories and acceptance criteria.
Validate and manage the Scrum backlog.
Act as an intermediary and promote collaboration between the business and technology teams.
Liaise closely and consistently with all key stakeholders, including through facilitation of workshops.
Use the Atlassian toolset as part of Finance scrum; working with product owners to prioritise, decompose and trace stories back to requirements and processes.
Validate solution design and articulate concerns, identifying solutions where design does not meet requirements.
Define future state process mapping for the Finance team.
Produce process diagrams using a variety of UML tools.
Identify and escalated project risks, issues and dependencies, and assist in their management.
Assist the Training Team in producing and communicating Finance training collateral.
Support the Testing Team in development of Finance test scripts, and the execution.
Your previous experience will include:
Prior hands-on experience working on a finance transformation program.
Showing knowledge of standard accounting procedures.
Excellent understanding of Agile methodologies and ; a track record of working in Agile environments.
First class communication, writing, interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills, and exceptional attention to detail.
Experience in producing various types of Agile documentation such as user stories, acceptance criteria, as well traditional business and functional documentation.
A confident communicator with robust commercial acumen and comfortable liaising with executive level senior stakeholders.
Extensive experience facilitating meetings and workshops, for example, to gather system and functional requirements.
Tertiary level qualification in information technology (IT) and/or finance/accounting.
