Part-Time
Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage the month-end financial accounting processes, maintain the integrity of the finance functions, and manage payroll for 20+ employees.
Job Responsibilities;
Full month-end processes including journal entry, prepayments, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Overseeing accounts payable/ costing and accounts receivable functions and assisting as and when required
Petty Cash administration
Purchase Order review and close
Annual accounts setup and closure in system
Administration of the payroll function including employment agreements, processing and payment of salaries and wages, employee tax deductions, payroll tax and superannuation.
Any other tasks as required to meet department need to support the business
Key criteria to succeed in the role;
Interaction with different key stakeholders within the business across varying disciplines
Balance varying activities and ensure that all tasks are completed in accordance with agreed timeframes whilst achieving required quality and completeness standards
Data extraction report setup to meet business requirements
Ability to be flexible to changing circumstances, display initiative and be motivated to learn and perform all tasks to a high standard
Develop sufficient level of expertise on the day to day operations of the business to enable progression to other roles within the organisation
Qualifications;




Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role working within a small to medium sized business with exposure to the complete operations of the organisation
Bachelor of commerce/accounting qualification is preferred but not essential where sufficient experience in a similar role can be demonstrated
Experience with a business management/accounting systems (NetSuite or similar), while having a solid understanding of accounting system functions
Proficient user of Microsoft suite of products (primarily Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel)
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong business acumen and accurate numerical skills
Solid verbal and written communication skills and ability to tailor these skills to match varying circumstances and audiences
Good organisational skills and ability to work autonomously to achieve required outcomes
Thorough understanding of accounts payable/ costing and accounts receivable functions
Experience in the administration of the payroll function of a small business from start to finish using third party software (Attache or similar)
Must have;
permanent work rights with no restrictions.
be based in Victoria to attend the office for induction, training and general duties.
able to work from the Braybrook office a minimum of three days per week.
