About The Opportunity
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Matching colours accurately and consistently across batches and parts.
Performing regular maintenance of spray painting equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Cleaning, sanding, and preparing surfaces for painting, ensuring all surfaces are free from defects prior to painting.
Conducting regular checks on painted products to ensure compliance with quality standards, addressing any defects immediately.
Maintaining accurate records of work done, materials used, and any issues encountered for quality assurance and compliance purposes.
Applying industrial coatings to various metal components using spray guns and other painting equipment to ensure a high-quality finish that meets stringent specifications.
Adhering to all safety protocols including the handling and disposal of hazardous materials,
use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a safe working setting.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
A certificate or diploma or equivalent industry experience.
A keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality finishes and the ability to troubleshoot painting issues effectively.
The physical fitness required to work in various positions including standing, bending, and lifting up to 20 kg.
Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations, particularly with respect to handling paints and solvents.
Proficiency in using various types of spray painting equipment including manual, automatic, and HVLP systems.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in industrial spray painting, preferably within manufacturing or automotive industries.
You will also have:
The ability to pass a police check.
Willingness to travel to QLD for Cerakote training.
Experience with powder coating and knowledge of different paint systems and their specific applications.
