About Us:
Action on Disability within Ethnic Communities (ADEC)
provides advocacy services, capacity-building programs for people with disabilities, community aged care services, Plan Management (NDIS), NDIS Appeals, and direct personal and domestic care support services. ADEC also actively participates in systemic advocacy and collaborative activity in support of more effective and inclusive disability and aged care sectors, ADEC currently serves around **** clients with around 120 staff.

Our Ideal Candidate Will:
Mentor and manage a team of 5 direct reports, including Accounts
Officers and a Payroll Officer
Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll functions
Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end close processes,
ensuring timely and accurate completion of all financial statements and reports
Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly
basis, ensuring all reconciling balances are cleared on a timely basis
Provide timely and accurate management reports to support decision-making processes
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
Conduct financial analysis and forecasting related to budget performance
Prepare relevant audit documentation as part of the year-end process




Manage finance and accounting systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Key Selection Criteria
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field with CPA/CA
qualification (completed or in progress).
Minimum 3 years' experience in financial accounting/reporting.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills to including formulas, and pivot tables
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a finance team and across departments.
Excellent communication skills to convey complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.
Experience with XERO accounting software is advantageous but not essential.
