The City of Fremantle is currently seeking to appoint an Operations Engineering Technical Officer to support the delivery of infrastructure civil engineering services by providing efficient and high‐quality technical and administrative assistance, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of capital and maintenance programs, contributing to timely, cost‐effective, and quality infrastructure outcomes. Ensure compliant and efficient procurement and financial administration processes, including tender support, purchasing, invoicing, and budget coordination.
Support the effective coordination of contractors, utilities, and asset stakeholders to ensure integrated and efficient service delivery. Maintain an up to date,
technical knowledge of civil engineering and construction maintenance trends, techniques and legislation to support effective delivery of civil engineering and maintenance activities.
Provide responsive and professional support to customers and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and accurate management of service requests.
Maintain and utilise corporate systems and administrative processes to support reporting, documentation, and operational effectiveness.
To be considered for this position, you will need
Knowledge in engineering infrastructure capital and maintenance projects, including working with internal and external resources.
Technical knowledge of Australian Standards, Safety Standards and Quality Management processes essential to the delivery of municipal infrastructure works.
Technical knowledge of the preparation of tender documentation, procurement and contract management.
Current WA "C" class driver's license.
Diploma qualification in engineering/project management or similar operational field experience
