As a result of continuous national growth, LAI Group is seeking a Machinist – Milling / Router Operator to join our team at our manufacturing plant in Adelaide (Ferryden park) within our Millingdepartment. Schedule
Full-time / Casual
A 38-hour week (Monday – Friday + reasonable overtime).
Wage (Negotiable - Experience, knowledge, and ability will be taken into consideration).
The Position
The Machinist – Milling/Router Operator produces high-quality electrical insulation panels for our switchboard internal components, using both CNC and traditional machining methods. We're looking for a reliable, hands-on individual with a positive attitude who's ready to build their skills and take on greater responsibility over time.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacture of electrical insulation panels for switchboard internal components
Interpret shop drawings
Knowledge of CNC Machinery. Previous Multicam and Cintimatic experience is a positive
Knowledge of Milling Tooling and Optimization Principles
Minimising machine downtime
Ability to take on more responsibilities to improve your skills
Understanding and the ability to use multiple machine operation software's
Ensure the cutting schedule is complete in a timely manner to suit workshop production
Use of non-CNC machinery
Ability to work in a team environment
Performing scheduled maintenance on the machinery
The Candidate
Sheet Metal Experience
Milling / Router Operation Experience
Experience interpreting technical or shop drawings
A proactive approach machine maintenance and minimising downtime
Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and grow within the role




Desired Competencies
CNC machinery experience
Multicam experience (desirable, not essential)
Cintimatic experience (desirable, not essential)
