Role Description
This is a full time Australian Corporate Immigration Lawyer role based in the Greater Sydney Area, offered on a hybrid basis with a mix of office and work-from-home arrangements. The lawyer will provide strategic immigration advice to corporate clients, prepare and lodge a range of employer-sponsored and business-related visa applications, and manage end-to-end case files in compliance with Australian migration laws and regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing eligibility, advising on visa pathways, drafting submissions and legal correspondence, and liaising with government departments and other stakeholders. The role also involves monitoring regulatory changes, contributing to client alerts and knowledge materials, and supporting corporate immigration program management. The lawyer will collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent high-quality service,



maintain accurate records, and participate in client meetings, training, and relationship-building activities.
Qualifications
Admission as a lawyer in Australia and eligibility to hold a current practising certificate, with demonstrated experience in corporate immigration or administrative law.
Strong knowledge of Australian migration legislation, policy, and procedures, including employer-sponsored and business visa frameworks.
Proven legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and apply them to client scenarios.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including drafting clear submissions, advice, and client correspondence tailored to diverse stakeholders.
Solid matter management and organizational abilities, including handling multiple files, meeting deadlines, and maintaining accurate documentation and records.
Client-focused mindset with the capacity to build trusted relationships, provide empathetic support during stressful processes, and deliver responsive service.
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborating with a team while operating independently and using legal and practice management technology.
Experience advising corporate clients across different industry sectors is highly regarded; prior work in a specialist immigration firm or in-house corporate role is an advantage.
