Project Engineer (Electrical)
West Perth|Permanent|Office-based (no FIFO)
My client is a well-funded WA Mining and Exploration Company with a key project that has moved quickly through exploration, resource definition and development studies, and is now accelerating toward production in a region with established infrastructure and strong connectivity.
They're looking for an experienced Project Engineer (Electrical) to support delivery through the Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) and into future development. Based in the West Perth office and working closely with the Engineering Manager, consultants and contractors, you'll provide electrical engineering support across feasibility studies, design development, infrastructure planning and project delivery.
This is an owner's-team role on a genuinely significant project - a real chance to help shape the electrical design and power strategy for a future WA mining operation from the ground up.
What you'll be doing
Providing electrical engineering support across DFS, design and project development activities
Managing consultants, contractors and technical service providers to deliver engineering outcomes
Developing scopes of work, supporting tender processes and evaluating technical submissions
Reviewing engineering deliverables against project scope,



schedule and budget
Supporting electrical infrastructure development, design reviews and technical studies
Providing technical input into project decisions, risks and opportunities
Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations and safety requirements
Working closely with internal teams, consultants and key stakeholders to hit project milestones
What you'll need
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Around 10 years' relevant experience across design, implementation and feasibility studies (PFS/DFS)
Experience managing Independent Power Producer (IPP) scopes on Australian mining projects
Hands-on experience with hybrid power solutions - gas, solar and BESS
Design engineering and commissioning experience
Experience engaging with government and energy authorities
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
