MSS Security is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations at Casey Hospital located in Berwick. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of security services, leading and supporting the on-site security team, and fostering strong working relationships with key stakeholders. As Security Manager, you will lead all hospital security operations, ensuring the safety of patients, visitors, and staff. You will manage and develop the security team while ensuring compliance with legislation, contracts, and organisational policies.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Supervise and support a team of security guards through briefings, performance reviews, and ongoing coaching, mentoring, and training
Respond to and manage incidents, liaise with emergency services, monitor community safety concerns, and develop site-specific security strategies to address emerging risks
Build positive relationships with hospital staff, local authorities and represent the security team in hospital meetings and stakeholder discussions
Maintain records, ensure staff follow legal and hospital guidelines, manage investigations and disciplinary actions, and uphold SOP and site requirements.
Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and site access to maintain a safe setting
Manager rostering, recruitment, performance and disciplinary matters while ensuring contract compliance and high-quality service delivery
Drive KPI performance,
lead continuous improvement initiatives and maintain accurate records and SOPs
Conduct audits and prepare monthly and quarterly client reports
What We're Looking For
Minimum of
3-5
years' experience in a Security Manager role
Proven experience in hospital or government environments, ensuring compliance, ethical practice, and managing investigations
Experience building positive relationships with staff, stakeholders, and external authorities
Experience monitoring security systems such as CCTV, alarms, and access control
Ability to develop and implement site-specific security strategies
Requirements:
Full Australian Working Rights
Victorian Security License (Control Room Endorsement is advantageous)
Certificate II in Security Operations (or higher)
First Aid & CPR
Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain
Availability to work a 24*7 rotating roster
Up-to-date vaccinations including COVID-19, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Measles (2 doses), and Pertussis booster within the last 10 years
Willing to undergo a National Police Check and medical clearance
