GrainCorp is currently seeking a Data Scientist to work with a motivated and collaborative team to lead data science and AI activities to support advanced analytic use cases' success. The responsibilities of the role include:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions
Develop, build, and deploy machine learning models
Utilize Apache Spark and Azure Cloud for large-scale data processing and model deployment
Write efficient and maintainable Python code for data manipulation and model development
Communicate findings and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
About your experience
Candidates will have a robust analytical foundation and a passion for leveraging data science to solve business challenges. Candidates will also display:
Communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
Data analysis skills, capable of interpreting data and generating actionable insights




Hands-on experience in model build and deployment, particularly in machine learning
Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Apache Spark and Azure Cloud platform
Experience with Power BI for data visualization
Degree qualified in STEM field
About your skills
Technical:
Hands-on experience in developing and implementing various machine learning models and statistical techniques
Proficiency in programming languages, primarily Python, and experience in data manipulation
Experience working with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop and knowledge of SQL for extracting and manipulating large datasets
Experience working with Azure Cloud platform
