We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic
Information Technology Trainee
to join our Information Technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining a nationally recognised
Certificate IV in Information Technology
and valuable workplace experience with a leading not-for-profit organisation. The traineeship is expected to run for
12 to 18 months
, with the potential for ongoing employment upon successful completion.
About the Role
Reporting to the
Information Technology Services Coordinator
, the IT Trainee will support the delivery of Information Technology services across Intereach while undertaking a structured traineeship leading to a
Certificate IV in Information Technology
.
This traineeship provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable, hands‐on experience in IT support, systems administration and customer service while working alongside experienced technology professionals.
During the traineeship, you will build practical skills across a wide range of technologies and business systems while supporting staff across multiple locations.
Upon successful completion of the traineeship, there may be an opportunity for ongoing employment with Intereach, subject to organisational requirements and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first‐level IT support to staff across the organisation.
Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software and connectivity issues.
Support the setup, maintenance and deployment of computers, mobile devices and other technology equipment.
Assist with user account administration and onboarding activities.
Contribute to IT projects, system improvements and technology initiatives.
Maintain IT documentation, asset records and knowledge resources.
Support organisational cybersecurity practices and data protection requirements.
Provide friendly and effective customer service to internal users.
Actively participate in training and successfully complete a Certificate IV in Information Technology.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A genuine interest in pursuing a career in Information Technology.
Basic knowledge of computer systems, software and devices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good problem‐solving abilities and attention to detail.
A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A commitment to completing a Certificate IV in Information Technology.
An understanding of and alignment with Intereach's values and community focus.
Desirable
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365.
Basic understanding of networking concepts.
Previous customer service or helpdesk experience.
Familiarity with NDIS, Aged Care Quality Standards or Child Safety frameworks.
ITIL Foundation certification or Microsoft certifications.
Mandatory Requirements
Current Australian Driver Licence.
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
