Position Overview
The Territory Manager / Sales Coordinator is responsible for driving sales growth across an allocated territory through effective management of independent pharmacies, health food stores, key buying groups and wholesale distributors.
Working three days per week,
this role combines traditional field sales with distributor relationship management to ensure strong execution, stock availability and continued growth across the Martin & Pleasance portfolio.
The role requires a proactive, commercially minded individual who enjoys building relationships, analysing sales opportunities and executing promotional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Management
Manage an allocated territory of pharmacy and health food customers.
Develop strong relationships with store owners, pharmacists and retail staff.
Conduct regular store visits according to the agreed call cycle.
Present new products, promotions and seasonal campaigns.
Increase ranging and distribution of Martin & Pleasance products.
Identify sales opportunities and execute territory growth plans.
Ensure promotional compliance and in-store execution.
Merchandise products and optimise shelf presence.
Train pharmacy staff on key product benefits and selling techniques.
Build strong relationships with WA distributors and wholesale partners.
Monitor stock holdings and availability.
Work collaboratively to maximise promotional opportunities.
Support distributor sales teams with product education.
Assist with customer enquiries and supply issues.
Coordinate new account opportunities through distributors.
Monitor territory sales performance.
Review customer sales data to identify opportunities.
Prepare account plans for priority customers.
Analyse promotional effectiveness.
Provide recommendations to improve sales performance.
Manage territory objectives within budget.
Customer Relationship Management
Resolve customer concerns professionally.
Maintain accurate customer records.
Identify new business opportunities.
Represent Martin & Pleasance professionally at all times.
Administration
Complete weekly call reports.
Maintain CRM records.
Submit monthly territory updates.
Participate in sales meetings and training.
Manage travel efficiently within budget.
Skills & Experience
Previous Territory Manager or pharmaceutical/pharmacy sales experience.
Strong relationship-building skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work autonomously.
Commercially focused with strong analytical skills.
High level of organisation and time management.
Current driver's licence.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Experience within the natural health, complementary medicine or pharmacy industry.
Experience managing wholesale distributors.
Knowledge of the Australian pharmacy market.
CRM experience.
Category management or merchandising experience.
