Mid Murray Support Service (MMSS) is seeking compassionate, reliable and professional Support Workers to join our dedicated team.
If you are passionate about supporting older Australians and people living with disabilities to remain independent, connected and engaged in their homes and communities, we would love to hear from you.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to older people and people living with disabilities, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.
This is a hands-on role that may include:
Personal care and assistance with daily living activities
Meal preparation and cooking
Domestic assistance and household tasks
Transport to appointments, shopping and community activities
Social support and companionship
Medication assistance (where appropriate)
Supporting care recipients living with dementia, complex care needs and other age-related or disability-related conditions
Our care recipients have a wide range of support needs, and successful applicants will be comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds while providing respectful, professional and compassionate care.
Essential Qualifications & Certificates
The following qualifications and certificates must be current:
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Disability, or equivalent
Current First Aid Certificate
Current CPR Certificate
Your Skills & Strengths




Experience delivering all aspects of personal care
Solid written and verbal communication skills
High level of organisation, reliability and initiative
Confidence using mobile apps and electronic documentation systems
Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities
Respect for personal boundaries, dignity, culture and individual choice
Commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred support
You Must Also Have
The following clearances and requirements must be current and valid:
Driver's Licence
Your own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
National Police Clearance
DHS/DCSI Working With Children Check
Up-to-date Flu Vaccination (preferred)
Up-to-date COVID-19 Vaccination (preferred)

This role includes personal care, domestic duties, manual handling and supporting clients with varying levels of mobility, cognitive impairment and complex care needs.
