We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Aged or Disability Carer to join the MEDIHEAL Disability Services team in Cannington, WA.
This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people who require support and assistance.
As an Aged or Disability Carer, you will provide essential care and support services to individuals with aged care needs or disability support requirements, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life whilst living in the community.Key responsibilitiesProvide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, toileting and dressing in a respectful and dignified mannerSupport clients with mobility and transferring, using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipmentAssist with meal preparation, feeding and nutritional support as requiredPerform household tasks including cleaning, laundry and shopping to maintain a safe living environmentProvide medication reminders and support clients in taking prescribed medicationsOffer companionship and emotional support to enhance wellbeing and social engagementMaintain accurate and timely records of care provided and client progressReport any concerns or changes in client health or behaviour to management promptlyWork collaboratively with other team members, healthcare professionals and family membersMaintain confidentiality and respect client privacy at all timesFollow all health and safety protocols and adhere to duty of care responsibilitiesWhat we're looking forA current Certificate III in Disability Support Services, Aged Care Support or equivalent recognised qualificationA current valid First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificationA clear Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP)
