Radiation Engineer Grade 1
Fixed Term, Full-Time (80 hours per fortnight)
An exciting career opportunity is available for a
Trainee Electronics Engineer
to join a highly skilled Radiation Engineering team at
Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre
. This role provides technical support for state-of-the-art
Radiotherapy equipment
, including
Linear Accelerators
and
CT Scanners
, primarily based at the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) in Melbourne, with support across additional sites in Moorabbin, Box Hill, Bendigo, and Sunshine.
The successful applicant will participate in a rotating roster, which includes some shift and weekend work. This position offers extensive hands-on training and mentoring within an experienced and supportive Radiation Engineering team.
Key Requirements
• Diploma or higher qualification in Electronic Engineering
• Solid mechanical aptitude and practical technical skills
• Experience with programming and 3D printing is desirable
• A current Victorian Driver's Licence is essential

You will be a self-motivated, adaptable individual who enjoys working collaboratively within a small team and demonstrates a strong willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
Remuneration as per Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement *********. RADIATIONEGNR-PMCC Grade 1 (RT12): $83,****** - (RT13): $86,****** (full-time equivalent - to be prorated for Part Time) dependent on candidate experience. To be discussed with Hiring Manager.

1. Maintain all PeterMac Radiotherapy treatment Systems to provide optimum treatment availability
With the support from a Senior Engineer provide a timely response to system faults
2. Maintain equipment to obtain maximum serviceable life
Under the guidance of a Senior Engineer take part in planned preventative maintenance and other allocated work in a timely and thorough manner
3. Contribute to the Radiation Engineering maintenance reports and database
Keep up to date documentation and databases
4. An ongoing commitment to training and professional development
Articulate skills and knowledge obtained through training and apply these skills and knowledge to fault resolution
5. Share information
Document processes and procedures in a clear and concise manner
