About the role
An opportunity exists in the Movement Disorders Program at Wantirna Health for a passionate and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our team on a part time basis. The Movement Disorders Program provides evidence-based care in the assessment and management of complex patients with movement disorders (especially Parkinson's disease and Parkinson's related disorders). The Allied Health team provides time limited goal focused Strategy Training for Parkinson's Disease and Parkinson's related disorders.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Physiotherapy qualification
AHPRA registration
Experience in assessment, treatment and management of persons with Parkinson's and Parkinson's related disorders
A strong commitment to high quality patient care
Sound clinical skills within this specialty area
High level communication skills, both written and oral, to enable development of a good rapport with clients and staff
The ability to work as part of a diverse team
Current registration with AHPRA and eligiblity for membership of relevant discipline professional association
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the
Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice)
. Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
