About the role
We are seeking a dedicated
Thrift Shop Manager!
You will lead operations of the store ensuring quality customer service, diligence in banking, quality sorting of donated goods and maintaining general upkeep of the shop.
Responsibilities include
Recruit and train new volunteers
Ensure timely management of pick-ups and deliveries of household furniture
Delegate responsibility for collection to volunteers or manage collections during normal working hours
Update merchandise and mannequins at least weekly or as required
Cash handling – cash and credit card transactions, end of day reconciliation and banking
Greet all customers in a warm and inviting manner. Offer assistance and advice on selections. Encourage and coach the team to do the same
Ensure safe standard operating procedures are in place and updated where necessary, and all volunteers adhere to them
This is a permanent part time position, 30.4 hours per week, based in Horsham, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with General Retail Industry Award **** - Level 6.
What you will have
Experience in customer service
Experience in managing a team preferably volunteers
Experience working in Retail
(highly desirable)

First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain
Physical ability to safely stand, sit, walk regularly and for long periods of time, push, pull, lift, carry & restrain, climb ladders
Use a computer mouse and EFTPOS machine / undertake other inherent requirements of the role
A current drivers licence and working with children check
