This role sits in the Financial Services division and provides forecasting and planning support to Technology which delivers the Group's information technology function to ensure the highest levels of customer service through world-class process excellence and technology innovation. In Financial Services, we support the Group's strategy of building tomorrow's bank today for our customers, with a focus on three key priorities of trust, resilience and capital generation. Technology Finance is responsible for the provision of financial control, reporting and planning services to the Technology division. We work closely with our stakeholders to help them understand their cost base and deliver current and future strategic and financial plans. Our mission is to "influence strategic outcomes through transparent insights and passionate people". Your team forms part of the wider Technology Finance Team (approximately 90 people) and provides financial management, planning and controls to Group and Business Unit CIOs.
Your team's primary role is to:
Perform planning & forecasting for Technology - coordination and delivery of the annual operating plans and monthly forecasts, including supporting analysis and insight on the Technology cost base
Partnering with the Technology Business Partners and Enablement teams to gather reliable and accurate forecast data
Deliver meaningful insights to drive better business outcomes, including cost optimisation and process simplification.

You will report to the Senior Manager - Forecasting & Planning, Technology Finance. Your role is to support the EGM, GM and EM of Technology Finance, the Technology Leadership Team and Group Finance within CBA in making effective decisions. To deliver on outcomes, you will have effective relationships across the broader Technology Finance team, as well as Group Finance and the Group Accounting Policy teams.

Help deliver the annual operating plan and forecasts, and raise issues to Tech Finance LT & Group Finance
Meet the Group Planning and Forecasting timelines
Prepare monthly Technology forecasts through the provision of financial modelling and analysis
Provide insights on the Technology cost base, including driver analysis and recommendations to drive productivity
Significant contributor to the CEO pack that is presented to CEO & CFO every six months
Assist the business to optimise their performance and forecasting, including continuous improvement initiatives
Assist with capitalisation reviews / decision support / investment spend tasks where necessary




Identifying and escalating issues and ensuring appropriate risk management and financial control practices are in place
Help create a strong team culture, and build and maintain productive relationships with all stakeholders
Drive productivity and process improvements across the team's processes

CA / CPA / CIMA / CFA qualified
Accounting/finance management related degree
