As the Senior Experience Design Lead, you will redefine the student digital experience at the University of Melbourne.
You'll
lead the strategic redesign of information architecture and unify fragmented help channels, ensuring a student-centric, task-based digital ecosystem. Your role involves innovative prototyping, stakeholder management, and
leveraging
AI tools to enhance design workflows, offering you the chance to make a significant impact on the university's digital transformation journey.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead Strategic IA & Help Architecture: Redesign the student digital
estate's
information architecture and
unify help
pathways for seamless student navigation.
Conduct Research Leadership: Execute research activities to
validate
IA decisions and ensure the digital help model meets diverse student needs.
Manage Stakeholder Relationships:
Facilitate
workshops to align stakeholders on design vision and manage
organisational
and student needs.
Champion AI Integration & Innovation:
Utilise
AI tools to accelerate design workflows while ensuring rigorous validation of outputs.
You may be a great fit if
You will have a proven
track record
in leading complex Information Architecture redesigns, strong
proficiency
in prototyping tools, and the ability to navigate stakeholder environments to secure buy-in for innovative concepts.
You may also:
Be fluent in Generative AI tools with a critical approach to validation processes.
Possess advanced strategic requirements definition skills bridging design and business strategy.
Have
expertise
in user research methodologies and experience running live website pilots.
Demonstrate high-level interpersonal skills for managing complex stakeholder environments.
Understand service design
integration
connecting digital touchpoints to physical service delivery.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and
maintain
an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate
