Assistant Underwriter
to join our Brisbane Financial Lines team and support our growing Financial Lines portfolio.
About the role:
Reporting to the
State Manager - Financial Lines
, you'll play a key role in servicing and retaining our existing Financial Lines portfolio, supporting senior Underwriters, and engaging with brokers to deliver exceptional service. This is a fantastic chance to build technical expertise, strengthen broker relationships, and contribute to a high-performing team.
You'll be responsible for managing renewals, assisting with new business opportunities, and ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and service the
existing Financial Lines portfolio
alongside senior underwriters
Provide
exceptional customer service
to brokers and internal stakeholders
Conduct
regular portfolio reviews
to monitor performance and profitability
Stay informed of
industry developments
and market trends
Ensure compliance with
legislation, insurer guidelines
,
and company policies
Attend
industry functions
and networking events as required
About You:
2+ years' experience within the Insurance industry, ideally in an Underwriting support capacity
Positive, professional, can-do attitude with a strong sense of accountability
Excellent customer service skills, including written and verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfortable with IT systems
Ability to work both autonomously and in a team setting
Understanding of the Australian insurance market
