Your role in the team
We are seeking a
Compliance Executive
to join our Australian Compliance team in Melbourne or Sydney. This role represents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious compliance qualified with 2+ years of financial services experience to take the next step in their career.
Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of IG Australia's compliance framework while helping to ensure we maintain our position as a leader in regulatory compliance and fair client outcomes.
What you'll do
Compliance Operations
Complete compliance monitoring activities, identifying trends and recommending improvements to the control environment
Handle complex regulatory enquiries including preparation of documentation and stakeholder coordination
Provide guidance on the interpretation of regulations
Manage and respond to escalated client complaints requiring detailed investigation and regulatory knowledge
Lead suspicious transaction reporting processes, including assessment of complex matters and liaison with AUSTRAC
Review and approve financial promotions, ensuring compliance with ASIC requirements
Financial Markets / Crypto Expertise




Provide specialised compliance support for CFD and crypto trading operations and derivative products
Ensure compliance with Product Intervention Orders and other CFD/crypto - specific regulatory requirements
Review marketing materials and client communications for shares, CFD and crypto products, ensuring appropriate risk warnings and disclosures
Support implementation of regulatory changes affecting crypto, CFDs and other leveraged products
Contribute to development of compliance policies and procedures
Leadership and Development
Assist cross-functional compliance projects and initiatives
Represent the compliance team in business meetings and working groups
Contribute to the development and delivery of compliance training programs
Strategic Support and Advisory
Provide compliance advice to business units on regulatory matters and commercial initiatives
Participate in new product development processes as compliance stakeholder
Contribute to compliance reporting for senior management and committees
What you will need:
Minimum 2 years
of experience in a compliance, risk, or legal role within financial services
Demonstrated financial markets knowledge
or experience with derivatives, equities or cryptocurrencies
Experience with AML/CTF obligations and Australian financial services regulatory framework
Degree:
Bachelors degree in Commerce, Law, finance, or related field
Exceptional written communication skills
demonstrated through report writing, policy development, or regulatory correspondence
Well-developed verbal communication and presentation abilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities




Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
